Day 1 of Clean is done! I feel G-R-E-A-T! See below for a quick recap of my thoughts after Day 1 (I apologize in advance for my disheveled self!)
Here’s what Day 1 Eats looked like:
Upon Waking (8:00am “ish”)
Hot Water + Lemon (approx 2 cups)
Side note: This is great first thing in the morning prior to putting anything into your tummy. It’s a great way to jump start your system and helps to detox your ever so important liver! This is something everyone would benefit from daily – even if you aren’t cleansing!
Breakfast (1000am “ish”)
“Liquid Magic – approx 2 cups worth”
My juice this morning consisted of: 1/2 cucumber, handful of romaine, handful of kale, 1 lemon, 1 green apple.
AM Snack (12:00pm “ish) – side note: I usually wouldn’t have an AM snack I would just have lunch. Today I was really busy with work appointments and couldn’t eat lunch until later. This snack held me over until I was able to get lunch!
Lunch (4:30pm )
“Arugula Salad with sprouted legumes, avocado, brussel sprouts and zucchini”
Sidenote: I am completely obsessed with arugula. Like can’t.get.enough.of.it. Also – kale chips make great croutons – just trust me on this one! I have this amazing bag of sprouted lentils, mung beans and aduzuki beans – they took about 15 minutes to cook and are a great salad topping to get in some extra protein – I used approx 1/3cup on my salad.
Dinner (9:30PM) – which is SUPER late for me, but my schedule was totally off today.
Protein Pumpkin Pudding
- 1/2 cup pumpkin
- 1/2 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 1 scoop protein powder (I use Sun Warrior)
- 1/4 avocado
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon cardamom
|Blend every together in your blender and Enjoy!|
So there you have it! Day 1 complete. Lots of amazing food and I didn’t feel hungry in the least. I also drank about 8 cups of water and had 1 green tea. I put together a short video with my thoughts on Day 1 – Enjoy!
