Hi Friends!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I actually had a pretty eventful weekend! Ange, Alex, and I have been trying to arrange a get together for quite some time, but because we are all so busy, it’s been hard! We finally figured out a date that was good for all of us, and that just happened to be on Saturday!

It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that we decided on meeting up at Fresh. This is a very popular vegan restaurant in Toronto. For those new to the city, or anyone visiting, this is a must try restaurant!

Ange’s girlfriend, Laura, also joined us which was lovely! I love meeting new girls, especially ones as lovely and sweet as Laura. There will definitely be many more meet ups with the four of us in the near future :)

100_1480Lunch was amazing – no surprise there! I order the soup of the day, which was a curried cauliflower. On the side you get 2 huge chunks of my FAVOURITE cornbread ever. Honestly, I debated ordering a whole loaf just so I could bring some home with me :)

100_1477Ange and Laura both got one of Fresh’s famous bowls, which are amazing as well. Lots of fresh ingredients served over brown rice.

100_1478And Alex got the middle eastern plate, she had everyone (even the people sitting beside her!), drooling over her selection.  This girl is a trooper, she joined us after running 25Km, that morning, YES 25km – and girl looked F.I.N.E!! I only wish I could throw myself together so chic after running 25Km.

We had an amazing time together, it’s amazing to have such wonderful friends who are so passionate about the same things you are. I’m so grateful to have them in my life – and they are definitely friends for life! SORRY girls – you’re STUCK with me now :)

After lunch, I had to rush home as hubby and I were having a party that night. Not sure I have mentioned this before, but Frank is a HUGE UFC fan. At first, I really didn’t understand the appeal of watching grown men basically beat each other to a pulp. This is definitely not a PG rated event, but overtime the competitive side of me has come out and I do have a few favourites (never thought I’d say that!!!). However, I rarely see much of the event as usually the ladies are huddled together gabbing away :) It was a great night, however, I can’t say the same about the next morning. First off, I don’t know why I haven’t learned my lesson yet, but that last glass of wine SHOULD NOT have been consumed :)   Secondly, this is what I awoke too:

UGHH! Hangover + Filthy Kitchen = total disaster! I must say, Hubs and I are an amazing team and we got this kitchen sparkling in under an hour!

100_1506  Just so you guys don’t think we are total alcoholics, there were probably about 40 people here, which is why you see SO many beer bottles :)

So that was my weekend in a nutshell :) Needless to say, this week is ALL ABOUT detoxing the body – so far this morning I have had a huge green smoothie and I plan to keep it very raw and very GREEN the rest of the week. Although the weekend was a blast, I have definitely found that lately I have been indulging far too much on the weekends. Although I totally believe in indulging, especially when for the most part I lead such a healthy lifestyle, I have just found that lately my weekends have left me feeling very lethargic, heavy, and just all around not so great! With summer just around the corner, I gotta tighten things up just a little :)

Anyone else do anything exciting this weekend? I’d love to hear about it!

xoxo

Love you guys!

Krissy

P.S. TWIN are you out there?? Show me some love!!!!

Sorry about the hockey game this weekend! I saw the score when I saw the news this morning, and I thought about you!

Well, I’m glad that you had a good time with the UFC. I’m good friends with Joe Stevenson. It’s so hard for me to watch his fights though!
